Launched by former teacher Craig Donnellan to address a lack of available resources covering social issues for the 16 to 18 age group, topics in the Issues for the Nineties series gathered together information from a number of sources to provide a comprehensive overview of the contemporary issues affecting society and young people. Later renamed Issues, the series now contains over 60 titles, and a sister series, Issues Today, was launched in 2007 for the 11 to 14 (Key Stage 3) age group.
